Around 500 seats within six rows. I don’t know what the average number of seats are taken on match day in the current stand, but I would imagine it’s more than 500. I hope the drop in seating revenue isn’t too great.

No problems were reported re the funding so I assume it IS all in place!

To me the East Stand hardly ever seems full. May be wrong but 500 should be more than adequate. In addition it would be worth keeping them there after the refurb too.

It said 500 would be enough for the regulars with a few spare for away fans, or words to that effect.

It will cut out a lot of access and storage space so I can't see them keeping it.
And to be honest, if we need it, we didn't do the new stand correctly.

Could be used as a family stand when the Eaststanders return to the East.

Re: All Things New Stadium : Mon May 30, 2022 6:15 pm
I’ve just had a more detailed look at the plans and I have to say there’s a lot more going on than I thought. This development will bring about some fantastic facilities and make the club far more attractive to players and fans.

I didn’t realise that the corner building where the rolling shack is will be pretty much gutted out and many interior walls knocked through to create a large gym over two floors alongside changing facilities and a room to run classes in. That will be a huge advantage to have these facilities for players especially and will make the club appear more professional.

The north stand appears to be having a platform to the rear. I wonder if this is to incorporate a few drinks/bars etc to try and maximise some sales in that stand. Would make sense. With new barriers and new crisp surfacing it will transform the north stand.

There’s so much going on in the main stand and on the plans it looks very impressive.

The Rollin shack (Cats Bar), is to be renamed as. Community Hub. As far as I am aware the Gym, Cafe, on the top floor, Male & Female changing/ Shower rooms lower floor, with office and retail space, is for the general public and community groups. I’m not sure if the players will have use of the gym facilities, unless there are certain days and time when not open to public.
The North Stand concourse is for refreshments, but I’ve not yet seen details of the proposed outlets. I would imagine the club will provide more precise details of the proposed layout of North Stand and East Stand in the
near future.
