He's apparently bought and is running Sharleston Rugby Club.
I assume we are talking about the social part rather than the rugby club itself.

Anyone know anything about it?

I spoke with Danny just prior to the season end and he didn't know whether he was going to give it another season at York, they hadn't actually offered him anything at the time. He said that if it was the end of his pro playing career then he had other things to do, including the club at Sharlston, also a business venture in York (estate agent, I think) and he would be able to spend more time with his family. He seemed to be relaxed about 'hanging up his boots', if that was what unfolded, and happy to start a new chapter in his life. Top bloke is DK.

Wish him good luck with that at a time when most landlords have suffered over the last couple of years due to covid pubs are still on a massive decline, good thing it's with the rugby club he has the personality to make it successfully, hope he doesn't drink the profits

It is a really old story just being recycled by that numpty clickbait site. Was on here round about December 2020 with a title like KIrmond buys Sharlston Rovers,

This was mentioned month ago.

I’m not sure what they mean by bought it. We were seriously overpaying him if he’s purchased the land which is in truth the clubs only asset, assuming they even own it.

As you say it must be the social side with an eye to develop it for wider use. It’s
