I agree but reading the report he is not going until his contract expires at the end of the season. I would expect that if we are relegated then he would be the first to go but if we survive I worry he will be given an extension.

The audacity of the man not sure he will be around next year. But would love it. I want to be a lawyer next year but won't be a very good one. Like Chester is not a very good coach. I'd get McDermott in tomorrow and Friday should be Chester's last game!

My worry is, if he knows that he will likely be off at the end of the year how much is he actually invested in getting us out of the hole we are in?

Why would he do that, how would that in any way benefit him, quite the opposite I'd have thought.

If I had a job that I knew I was leaving in 5 months time anyway and any results wouldn`t really matter to me because I just walk away anyway, would I give my all to the role? (Well yes, I probably would because I am proud upstanding citizen with great morals :D ) but I trust a lot of people wouldn`t apply the same effort knowing that they are going regardless.

For me he’s got no future here. I can’t imagine BV being a pleasant place to be if we have another year of Chesterball. If we go down he’s gone, if we stay up he has to go anyway.

My concern is if he does decide that he needs a break from coaching or the club choose to go in a different direction at the end of the season then a delay would be damaging. I'm uncomfortable with him having the say in recruitment if he knows isn't going to be coaching them, what if an incoming coach doesn't want that style of player but the budget is already spent? A decision needs to be made one way or another.
