He defiantly has being behind pongia who has one of the highest kicking averages in the league (no Shame at all in that)

Linos strike rate last season was exceptional though

To give you an idea
Clearly has the best with 85.3%

So the higher end of the ratio is in the 80s
The lower is in the 60s

Newcastle Knights
Kalyn Ponga: 75/97, 77.3%
Mason Lino: 49/60, 81.7%
Mitch Barnett: 3/3, 100%


Lino actually has the the 3rd best average in the nrl behind Nathan Cleary and Sam Williams (not including Barnett who is a back up back up kicker)

I imagine Lino will be our goal kicker

I have a really great feeling about this guy for us
