Article just appeared on Twitter by John Davidson that says some talk of Andy Last joining us as joint assistant coach replacing Gilmour. Would be a fantastic appointment in my view.

I think it would be a great move, he did well at Hull, but has been at the club all his rugby life and needs to move to another club. Has too many Radford traits in his coaching so working at another club will do him good.

Would've thought he would be looking at a head coach role although I concede there arnt many out there right now. He aquited himself well as HFC's interim coach and if things did go pear shaped next season at least there is an option in house.
The more support Chester has the better. He looked a broken man many a times over the past two years. With Poching and Last, hopefully he will be able to bounce some ideas about.
Sounds good though I don’t know much about him. Certainly a back room revamp in a big way. Maybe that was where the problem was?
I’m not a big lover of Hull FC, but I quite liked how AL got them playing and sounded like a knowledgeable bloke and came over as a decent bloke in the interviews, massive upgrade on Radford.
It’s a fantastic appointment if true imo. Anyone who gets an assistant gig for England to Shaun wane must have something about them. Seems he’s had to work and learn hard from some good coaches and players at Hull. Good little interview with him here https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.skys ... he-shadows
