I'm not sure why people are saying they should or shouldn't be in.

The players are not chosen on the night, it is a culmination of man of the match points over the season.
If McShane is awarded more man of the match points than anyone else, then he wins.

So, despite being castigated by "tryscorer" (look it up if you need to - old cock), I am still sticking with French as my Man of Steel, so, whilst accepting PT's point that McShane was awarded the most man of the match points over the season, IF it had been awarded as per previous seasons, by voting, who would people have chosen out of the 5 contenders - French, Coote, McShane, Farrell or Sezer ??
