I suppose it fits in with the current Woke agenda. Giving little fatties a chance.
This world was never meant for one as beautiful as me.

Its a bit like the hub cap, it doesn't mean any thing until you win it.
Well thats 5 Cas players that have won it (4 in the last 10 years) so we must be doing some thing right.

I guess it's down to the way it's decided. Sort of like MoM points from each game.
If you're a big fish in a little pond, in a team that wins more than half their games and you are ever-present in those games, then you've got a good chance.
Isn't it points awarded from a 'mystery celebrity', 3-2-1? Usually the losing side picks up the 1 and the winning side 3 & 2. If McShane was picking up the 2 points most weeks they win and 1 when they lose (his style means that he can look good even in a loss), then the points will build up over the season. Conversely, in a team with more star players the points will be shared out more evenly.
Not much chance if your team are losing most weeks. I guess the system is biased towards a mid-table team with few star players.
Wasn't big Dave leading a couple of years ago by about half-way through the season? It's very unlikely that a prop will win it because they're bound miss games through injury.

Without wanting to sound preachy, this lad is a perfect example of why you shouldn’t pre judge a player.

I concur that for us McShane was a disappointment but for Cas he’s been a revelation. It’s a simple truth, some players are so good they will shine anywhere, some so bad they will always fail but most just need to find the club that suits them.

Well done to the lad, I don’t bare a grudge he just wasn’t what we needed at the time.
