Saints, = Rugby v Catalan = could & thuggery
One. V. Nil

I am all for robust tough games & players , but, Catalan, they play on foul play & then complain about penalties & reef etc.
The game is Rugby & physicality, not constant fouls, deliberately causing injuries & dubious tactics, etc, etc

At least Saints will be used to it when they play Wigan next week
Under Shaun Wane, Wigan were as grubby as you will ever see.

I agree Wrencat but don't you think it's a shame that supposedly quality players either decide to mix it up rather than show their skills or totally take a back seat.

Wigan were grubby but effective under Wane and did whatever they had to to win.
We all like to see sublime skills on show but, tbf, both Wigan and Saints defences have been on another level and whichever style they may have, it's the defence that wins the game.
Most of Catalan defence is just "robust" rather than thuggish but, all successful sides need to be able to mix it.
There's a lot of stuff that goes on that the viewer cant/doesn't see and the one thing with the game yesterday and the Hull game before it is that the better RL side won the game and the same will be true next week.

It was in one way dreadful thuggery that is typical of them, and cost them the game. I have to confess, however, that I found it wonderfully nostalgic.
EVENTUALLY, WE'LL WIN SOMETHING, ,MAYBE, IF I'M STILL ALIVE THEN
