Doesn't matter really does it? You get assistants that will always be assistants yet a good proportion of them will go on to be successful head coaches at some point. The Aussies have some quality coaches, most of which are promoted to head coach from that assistant position, that is just a natural progression, unlike our game they tend to show some faith in the qualities they possess and really give them a chance, similar with the playing pool to be honest. Like I say we could do worse than go for an assistance that is deemed ready to take that jump (I think there are a few) or potentially even go for someone like James Ford, anyone who has watched York in his tenure know that he knows his rugby, his recruitment is consistently good and he has them well drilled with the right attitude all elements which are severely lacking at this club.
