As far as playing the newly promoted sides, we didn't get Hudds in 2003, or Salford in 2004, or Leigh in 2005, or Cas in 2006, or Hull KR in 2007, or Harlequins in 2008, or Crusaders in 2009 or leigh 2017. We got Hull KR in 2007, Widnes in 2012, Hull KR in 2018 & London 2019. So only one in the 2000's but 3 this decade so far.

I turn 50 next year, so am spending the entire year giving absolutely no $h1ts about anything, including the kids inheritance; on that basis, I might see if a trip to Toronto is do-able.

I know but the site I visited (Betfred) said Cas played them first, but yeah I thought it was the first game of the season, I remain confused.
We were definitely the first game for them, away at Trailfinders. A tough one to forget and whilst not as bad a day as the dreaded "cardgate" game at Brentford a few years ago, it was a truly awful performance, especially from being 12 - 0 in front after 10 minutes. Definitely one that you want to forget but, it's like hearing the first thing on the radio in the morning, you just cant get it out of your head.
Based on the loop fixtures and presuming it stays the same next year, we will have 2 away games vs toronto.
Though it has been confirmed no club will go to Canada twice.
We therefore may have 1 "away" game early in the season - on the road, Toronto have talked about Copenhagen/Dublin/ Other cities as possibilities, we may then get an away game in Toronto towards the end of the year,

We will have to see.
Maybe Dublin and Copenhagen then? Promising to be a great season of awY travel.
We also played opening games for HJ stadium and the old Sheffield stadium pre SL we do seem to get our fair share of these type of games. Think there may have been another one as well.
