It's not right to be cynical but, usually the deputy leader takes over or one that the Labour party & unions pick with the politics they like, so, there are far more Cas councilors than wakey councilors !!!! But ever the optimist in me hopes we get a local wakey person with good fair balance & lifts the city, we have had enough of Cas first ! Box was massively disingenuine to the point of our & out lies, pressure was building. Only my opinion of course, you cannot fool all of the people all of the time.
Yes there will be an election but the only people allowed to vote in it are the councillors themselves.
The majority on the council by far are labour and most of them don't represent Wakefield and don't care about the City.
The outlook is not great . I am hoping there is someone who has the skills and integrity to lead the council in a fair, honest and proper way amongst the Labour ranks.
Perhaps the whole Wakefield Council debacle over the last twenty-one years would have made the national news in the way Donnygate did, wakeytrin, if we'd have had a local newspaper with some guts rather than the sycophantic rag that poses as the "Box can do no wrong", Wakefield Express. A so-called "local" newspaper that is produced and printed in Sheffield. I think their Trinity news is gleaned from information posted on this forum.
Who knows, but this could be the good news Trinity fans were told to expect on the ground front a month back! Joking aside, a real stumbling block out is out of the way now, let's see what the new person brings.
