It’s quite simple really...for too long a periods over the season we’ve missed too much quality through injuries and it’s hurt is badly...we were in a real slump and I’d say only the late additions of Escare, Green and Tangata gave the squad the shot in the arm it needed...otherwise we may well have been the ones going down tonight!
I thought we were excellent value for the win tonight...started with real intent defensively...countless times getting 3 or 4 men in the tackle and driving London back...on the whole we completed sets really well, made few errors and gave few penalties away...
All those saying Brough should have been dropped and panicking over Abdul’s bombs....well...if that wasn’t a kicking masterclass from Brough I don’t know what is...a superb performance and just shows when our pack get on top Brough still is capable of quality performances.
Thought Kelepi was outstanding too...what a signing he’s been...just a shame the timing of his arrival saw us depleted and struggling...can’t wait to see him next year in a pack with the likes of Fifita, Ashurst and Arona back in...let’s all pray next season is a bit kinder on the injury front and we can kick on with improving our ground!

Brough was excellent last night, and like I've said on here I had no problems with the way he was playing before he got injured. But next year he's another year older, and it's unrealistic to expect him to perform week in week out. If all our major players are injury free next year, 'success' could well depend on who plays scrum half for the majority of games, because if Hampshire goes, we have to sign someone better than Reynolds.......
