I like the lad, but he definitely needs to be playing at half back.Think he did all right at fullback but was exposed against Cas.What you get with Ryan is a bundle of energy with blistering pace and bags of enthusiasm.I still have slight doubts about his organisational skills but also remember tries scored from some of his excellent passes.I've grown to like his endeavour and will to win and have started to think, like others have said, that he could develop into a top player.Another big plus which can't be underestimated is his top notch goal kicking and also the massive fact that he is one of US.Bearing in mind that he has said he really wants to stay,I hope that a compromise between himself and MC can get a deal sorted.

I have a bit of inside info on this, doesn't happen much. Can't guarantee it 100% but this is what I've been told, well not exactly as that wouldn't be fair.

He's been offered a three-year deal at an annual wage roughly equivalent to what an Arriva bus driver gets if he does a good wallop of overtime. This is more than you might think but not a king's ransom, certainly not for a career that is short. Don't know if there are any added incentives but that's what I'm told. I'm told Ryan wants that upped by 2k and he will sign.

I know its all about budgets and team requirements, but compared to what we have wasted on some Aussie players and general has-beens through the years it sounds good value to me.

Again its what I've heard from a good source but nothing close to the horse's mouth so I accept it could be totally wrong, in which case I apologise in advance.

I’ve tried to stay quiet on this but it’s getting ridiculous. If rocky would sign for 2k more it would have been done by now.

The truth is that he was offerred a deal 85 days ago and has never come back with a response other then after 70 days, it’s not enough via his agent.

I’m not going to get embroiled in detailed discussions on this.

But there is a lot of mis-truths out there and I told his agent last week, that I’m happy to go public with the whole saga if he is. Talks are ongoing but things have changed since the offer was made on April 30th and ignored for 70 days!
