This team is worse than the 2015 team under Webster. How many 40 point beatings this year? Don't blame injuries we were better with half the team out. Chester should have been gone after the Salford away debacle. Why when the rot set in was nothing done?

I'm clearly in a minority here. Buts what's this 9 missing. Name me 8 first choice players in that 17 saints put out today. I'm sorry but they only had 4/5 . At the risk of repeating myself they handed London 2 points today. If they do the same against us in a couple of weeks and all the other teams in the relegation battle then fair enough. But they won't. It stinks

This sums it up.
Stop blaming Saints for fielding a weakened side.
We've had enough chances to banish the spectre of relegation but getting spanked by London twice, losing to KR and losing to Leeds, how many chances do we need.
Rovers will dick us at Caravan Park but I think we'll beat Hull

If we do go down, and the question is put to Chester, "where did it all go wrong?" How ridiculous would it sound if he turned round and said "if Saints hadn't have rested all those players against London, we'd still be in Super League". It just sounds so ridiculous, it's laughable.

Saints can play who they want. Our future is in our own hands. We need to beat Hull KR and London in our remaining games, otherwise we're down.

It's a bit disrespectful to London to say they were handed or gifted the 2 points. They've obviously played with some spirit.

I'm also pretty sure that Holbrook will have said to his fringe players that it's their opportunity to get their name in the squad for the CC semi final and beyond.

They've put themselves in a position to have that luxury, the last thing they will care about is the teams at the bottom of the table.

I'm pretty sure that the negativity on here is born out of concern more than anything - as an outsider looking in I can't see Wakefield finishing bottom at all, but I can see why there's some squeaky bums before you can breathe a sigh of relief.

Trust me on that - we've been there

It's not disrespectful at all. London could only beat what was in front of them. But it is disrespectful of saints to the competition imo. There are 5 teams fighting relegation and this is the second time they have done this against London. Basically handing them a 4 point advantage.

We absolutely have our destiny in our own hands.
However, IF we are safe before the London game and WE field a "reserve" squad, allowing London 2 points and SL security, meaning that Leeds or KR go down, there would be brown stuff hitting the fan at a rate of knots.
There should be some integrity in the game and Saints' actions are not within the spirit of the game, not by a long chalk.
I get Sacred Cows point that they can do as they please and treat this game as an opportunity to test their youngsters but, equally, it cant be right for ANY side to effectively "throw" a game.
Mind you, in recent weeks, we have made it just as easy for the opposition to get the 2 league points

Yet Saints still managed to concede less points on both occasions that a full strength Wakey side.

its not up to saints who gets relegated their focus is winning trophies, if we can’t win games who’s fault is it. Simple win games stay up.
