I agree 100% Pop Tart. Whatever comment the club management/staff make on here, some people will just give them grief.

Correct. I can’t actually believe people seriously expect him to come on here for a slanging match with fans.

I’m not a fan of them on Twitter, instagrammed and Facebook either but there seems no cure for that particular addiction. Also they are not politicians so are not obliged to say anything.

Engaging with fans when things are ok is fine but when it’s bad just shut up and sort it.

As for the statement, what exactly are they supposed to say?

If MC or anyone connected with the club made any public announcements I’d think they were bonkers, talking on the pitch please.

I personally wouldn’t use forums etc to engage with fans as it’s a recipe for disaster & their own mental health, but I can see why some wakey fans think MC should. He was happy enough to come on & have his ego stroked when things were going well so it’s not unreasonable to expect him to face the music, to some extent, now.

I agree, it’s a dangerous game but thankfully he seems to be resisting the temptation. He’s actually been pretty savvy how he’s used the various forums, doesn’t get involved in the nitty gritty keeps it factual so I’ve no issues up to now.

Is he an egotist? Of course he is but aren’t they all, one way or another. If they weren’t why would they bother?

MC generally just comes on here to call out liars or share some facts. He can keep that up for me as we seem over populated with trolly rumour mongers at times.

I saw a post on FB that may well have been edited of Carter saying he was verbally abused at Wigan and called the C and W words.

That's out of line for me.
Those fans drag the perception of the club down and are probably the reason he isn't on here now.

Yeah it’s bad but I don’t see the connection, I can’t see that being the reason for him not posting on a moderated forum, more likely good old common sense.
