I'm not. He didnt really stand out for us playing at centre or wing...... .......and he wasnt even in their 17 either.......
The fact that they have better players in the centre than us has no bearing on it. I was simply saying as we have others in the backs doing ok, and some are moaning about Pauli, we could have just played Sau rather than swap Pauli back. It was only half serious but I'm not sure it would have been worse.
Crowther playing in the pack is one of many reasons why we are not breaking tackles think in Leeds game he averaged 4 meters per carry know I will get slated just not big enough Hirst was shocking
Seriously, I despair. Paul Gallon is playing at BV soon, just take a look at how big he isn't! Oh and do you remember a certain Nigel Bell? I don't but apparently he was no giant!
I'm not sure picking small men really proves a point. Gallan is hardly small and is built like a tank. Johnny would not fair well in today's game in my opinion. Belly was a unique player who played in different positions. Much like Crowther his strength was his fitness and defense.
Crowther has exception defense stats and has good ball skills. His go forward stats aren't as good but then he isn't playing prop either. I'd like his yardage stats to be better, as I'm sure would he but just saying he needs to be bigger isn't the answer
Indeed. Crowther would probably love to be the same size as Hirst for example but he isn’t. However Hirst obvious physical gifts have done nothing to make him a great player, he’s ok but only just.
Crowther despite his alleged lack of size has performed on some games at a level Hirst can only dream of. All Crowther lacks is consistency, this will come with age.
I also don’t get why Crowther cops it when Batchelor is no bigger or better as far as I can see. Funny how some players faces fit and others don’t.
If I had one piece of advice for Jordan it’s smile more, don’t wear your heart on your sleeve so much, bravado goes a long way, some players make a career out of it

It’s been raining a lot recently, now feel free to disagree with me
I get the point totally PT, regarding Jordy and his size, and you could probably add Bachelor in that same category. But then doesn't that take you to the old adage, that physique wise a young rugby league forward doesn't normally mature up until their mid 20's anyway.
I was talking with an ex Wakefield player of the 70's and early 80's yesterday, Paul McDermott, who played quite a bit at 13, but wasn't the biggest, and he was saying just the same.
I'm certainly of the view that if you can't be the best, be the fittest, and I think that is London's mentality. The players look in decent shape, which helps them exploit their fast pitch. But on our budget, we can't afford players who are not prepared to be at peak fitness (I don't mean injured - that's a fact of rugby). If Pauli isn't prepared to put in the physical work, give me someone who is.
Unfortunately, he might be turning into one of those players who have all the physical attributes but not the mental one, because there are many big players who just don't have the required aggression.
