I haven't got a problem with a player missing a tackle or making an error if the desire and commitment is there. It's the lack of enthusiasm and commitment I find hard.

Jowitt for me has been a bone of contention for as long as I can remember Even before that debacle against Warrington Trying to tackle to tackle Ryan Artkins around the shoulders. The hype around him has been unbelievable I've watched him very closely, There's no doubt his attacking ability I've always praised him for that but believe me he knows how to get out of tackling very well watch him closely every time he misses a tackle he slam his hand down as tough he's disgusted with himself he's very clever at it & it bugs the hell out of me, & don't worry Chester can see this why do you think he's always 2nd choice, If he has to play him he will but he'll never be first choice fullback I hope that answers your question

No, it doesn't answer my question.
You have given one example of what you've seen.
There have been several other posters on here that have disagreed with your view on another thread and also Trinity1315 has on this thread.
If Max isnt one of you "flavour of the month" players, thats fair enough, but do us a favour and keep your Max bashing posts to yourself.

No shame in getting beaten by London on their own astro pitch. I'm only happy Wire aren't playing them so soon.

Unless I'm mistaken, we've conceded 80 odd points against the, on paper, weakest team in the competition and Jowitt didn't play in either game, yet it's his tackling ability that's been brought up?

After watching some of the softest tries I've ever seen yesterday, I'd say there are more than him who need to brush up on their defence.

Trinity have always been the sort of club that tend to let you down when least expected but its nothing like it used to be. The last 3 to 4 seasons on the trinity scale have been fantastic and we are still making progress with 2 to 3 set backs per season.I think we now expect more Shuds used to be our bogey team maybe its coing to be London for the next couple of seasons.
Give me what we have now and hopefully build on it .

are we MAKING progress? - progress is on results in my opinion - so we will finish 5th or higher this season? NO CHANCE

Wow BOJ ever the optimist. To say we are still in contention when we've had the injury problems we have is definitely a positive. We have been without our 3 dream team players, and our first choice half backs. When we get some bodies back i'm sure we will fight for the top 5 right until the end.

As for Jowitt, i actually think his defense has improved massively, last year he made some great try saving tackles. However if your fullback needs to make a tackle the problem is elsewhere. A full back's role defensively should be to help organise the line and to field kicks, shouldn't be judging on their ability to make a tackle 1 on 1.

Some real knee jerk stuff on here. People forgetting the heroics of the previous month?

So we have an issue beating London. Wigan have an issue beating us yet seem to carry on winning trophies. Move on.

I think most of us do, considering Saturday's performance is nothing new for Trinity. :WALL:

It is nice to bleed a bit first though. :)

Progress in my eyes is retaining players of the calibre of fifita tupou Johnstone hopefully Hampshire ..being competitive in most games with a horrendous injury list but most importantly re gaining ownership of OUR ground. That in my eyes is progress ...
