I really like the sound of this, I believe its something we have never really bothered with but should have done. Its cheap, simple and works in terms of raising interest - especially if combined with a good season.

A great idea by the club and if they can get lucky with the weather, it should be great for generating some interest and hopefully getting some new fans on board.

At the risk of being wise after the event, it would have been a great to have this over the weekend just gone and throw out some freebies for the Catalan game or do something similar before the Broncos come to town,

Let's hope it's a great turnout and well done to the club for doing something a little different.

Great idea. I hope it works really well.
The group photo will be something special I reckon.

Agree completely and something I used to bang on about previously. We have so little exposure in the city centre. The target market is right there this can only help. The weekend before a home match, school holidays, get the players out there engaging with the public (they're in Costa anyway). Goes way further than getting people to like a post whilst sitting on their backsides at home.

The date is set by Wakefield BID, not the club.

There’s only so many free tickets a club can hand out!
All troops, kids under 16 & blue light card holders (emergency workers) have been offered free tickets for the game. Obviously I don’t know how many have taken the offer up, but this game now has the potential to be one of your highest attendances of the season.
