Would be an awesome signing for us all be it a year or two max
No one has a better kicking game in SL than danny
Personally I feel his kicking game alone will take us to the next level

If this is true I'm very happy

His kicking game could, the rest of his game not so much and could detract from the cohesion the squad seems to have developed recently.

The Farts have hardly been competing at the top over the past three seasons with a similar standard of team so why would his inclusion suddenly propel Trinity into the top 4?

That's not a bad return from him based on previous form.

We're certainly trying to get him, either that or there's some serious porkies coming from within the camp.

Re: Brough is back : Mon Oct 22, 2018 9:28 pm
I can see why Wakefield are interested.... I do feel that this year with a bit more experience they'd have got over the line in a few of the tight games.

That said, would brough have got you into the position to be IN those tight games??? He's been a bit of a liability this year, but I guess we'll never know.

I think it boils down to what he would add to Wakefield short term....

I feel like they've invested a lot of time on and off the field into Hampshire and to then replace him with a 36 year old seems a backward step as there's no doubt he's passed his best.

I know a few will immediately assume I'm biased against him but that would be incorrect - he gave as much to my club as he did to any. Dropping into the second tier with cas was incredible and he almost single handedly got cas back up..... I would wish him all the best whatever he does.

But I do feel like Wakefield are a club building for the future and I'm not really sure where he fits in with that.

How would you guys feel if you could pick between, say.... Brough as your 7 on a one year deal or Hampshire signed as your 7 on a 4 year deal?

Really hard one to call this, both arguments are strong, it’s our aweful kicking game since Finn ran out of steam V’s brough as a person, his ability is not in question, I have still seen him kick teams to death to get shuddes over the line. After another good season with a pretty non exsistent kicking game is exactly where we will be next year 5 again ,our props by end of this season were pretty battered bruised from giving their all, no pressure being realeased by a skilled boot of individual that can spare the team a bit of gas to get over the line and nick those tight games that would place us in the mix for real shot at top 4, this may read as a cop out post , but I would back club signing him, but on flip side back why we didn’t, brave decision which ever way

I've heard this as well.

Broughy coming to Wakey and Grix going back to Shudds. Apparently as well as playing there will be coaching role for Grixy as well.

WTRLC 2012 to 2014 "The wasted years"

Magic Weekend "Whipping Boys" 2013, 2014 & 2015

2017 - The year the dream disappeared under Grix's right foot.

2018 - The FinniChezz Bromance

2019 - The return of the Prodigal Son.

2020 - Keeping the faith.

I like the Grix to Shudds part but Broughy coming here is bad news IMHO. I really can't see MC or CC wanting to ruin 3 years hard work a stunt like this might result in. Has the potential to be MC's worst ever move.

Great signing for a couple of years. Still looked dangerous last year definitely improves us and hopefully take Hampshire under his wing. A new FB now and I'm happy. Top business
