Having finally got around to reading the Wakefield Article about the city's favourite son Mr Box , the second to last paragraph is typical political spin.
I quote from the article
Labour chief whip Coun. Richard Forster said ' At Monday's meeting of the Labour Group, the group confirmed their continued of Councillor Peter Box in his role as Leader of the Council'.
No mention of the no confidence issue and it's not the Group its a majority of the group, an unannounced majority at that!
Which leads into the intriguing last paragraph, which has not been connected to an individual.
Again I quote from the article
'Labour said they could not confirm the exact number of votes cast either side of the motion
If they have no idea how many voted and how they voted how on earth do they know Box carried the vote?
A show hands in a no confidence vote appears amateurish, some may say unprofessional.
The weak hang back to see how the majority vote and follow them if it's close unless you have appointed tellers to count the votes it can be very confusing
Maybe their is more to come from the sorry saga that is Box
