We were too shallow, which stopped us from running onto the ball, we were too slow and inaccurate with our passing. We bounced off too many tackles and had no second phase because we usually died with the ball.
I would expect Finn stats will probably show not many missed tackles that was because he could not get near enough to attempt one. It is time to move on with Hampshire because this was one game too many with Finn at 7. Why he was not replaced and stayed on for the full game when everyone could see he was being targeted by Catalan.

Many of the others were poor. BJB wasn't bad but needed to execute his chances better. TJ could have taken the outside a number of times but didn't seem to have the confidence and let a kick roll past him on their try line.
The other forwards didn't seem nearly as effective as Catalan. As said passible our distribution but the same applied in defence so not all that.

What is your opinion on Pauli's game tonight as he seems to have flown under the radar
on here tonight.

Why oh why is finn playing other than he chester fav yes he put devent kick in for tommy but he conceded 2 trys before that

Even if/when Chester reverts back to Jowitt at fullback and Hampshire in the halves we have lost valuable game time where the team were starting to gel . Crazy Crazy Crazy

I’ve said all along Chester changes the team too much . Up to Grix getting injured the spine was changed nearly every week .. crazy . Then we start to get s settled side and he changes it again because Finn is fit .

I have read the comments tonight on here and on Facebook, and in regards to Finny.

I have been saying it all season, but seem to be chastised over it.

Yes, he was poor, but yo be fair, I thought several others were too..

Horo for me tonight, was head and shoulders above the rest, for us.

We need to move on from this, and quickly, and learn from it.

At this stage of the season we should know by now, what is our best line up

The bottom line is spot on, it’s not rocket science.

It was obvious to some after 10 minutes that Finny was a problem, by half time most of the people in the ground could see that.


But the coaching staff ignored it and never tried to remedy it. They could have brought Randall back to hooker, moved Woody to 7 and benched Finny for the rest of the game. Only a suggestion , but they should have at least tried something because Finn out there was a real problem
