Some very good teams in the championship but to be honest I welcome a break from SL, which is dictated by Stains, Wigan, Leeds and possibly Warrington and I’m sick of it. They have the clout in SL and unless you have a backer like Derek Beaumont then you’re absolutely not going to get a rub of the Green!

With so much available and going on in such close proximity, that LSV must be the best venue in SL for a start. Go to Wigan, Saints or Wire you just get out of the car and walk into the ground. Hull KR have tried to emulate it a bit at that open end but don't really come close. Leeds does have the Headingley area to offer.

didn't wigan break the salary cap that year signing stuart fielden but I think they took the points off them the year after.
