This is the problem with some Wakefield fans ,always making excuses up for players and coaches who are not good at there job but defend them because there Wakefield through and through .This is why we are in the Championship because we have been content to put up with players that have come through the youth system that are average, .As said the very good ones have moved on Time for a clean sweep we have got to get to the point were we can keep the quality youth ,and get rid of the average. And Poching was beginning to bring in some young quality to the team ,one he'll of a mistake getting rid.

So basically you’re another fan upset about Poching and want Applegarth out. If you want to support and watch a Poching coaches team then go and follow him and any team he’s associated with. You absolutely along with others need to get over it and accept Poching is gone and it was a decision made by the owners a year ago. We will never know whether Poching would have succeeded.

Let’s just factor in your love for Poching and how he was having a positive influence for a moment though. Who was assistant to Poching during his positive tenure thst was a huge mistake getting rid? That’s right it was Applegarth. So if you were happy with the management direction then why aren’t you now happy with Applegarth stepping back into that role.

Applegarth fell short as a head coach this season at the penultimate round but there were mitigating factors as mentioned by Ellis and current owners that are in a much better position to comment than you or I. No assistant for large parts, team quality restrictions and experienced players who were mainstays leaving etc.

Now I do agree about the youth and settling for second best comment and that we settle for average. That part I can get on board and agree with 100%. There should be a mantra of achievement and striving for improvement about the club that we likely haven’t had for a few years.

We will have a clean sweep but it wouldn’t hurt to retain some individuals providing they can contribute to success. Powell and Ellis will determine that and I will support whatever decision they make.

This is business of professional sports (well more semi professional for us) but none the less results driven so he was actually lucky that he survived the full season, he wouldn’t have at any other club.

You’re still avoiding my point….
We’re not talking about MA or WP
I was alluding to your self awareness (or lack of it ) in posting what you posted earlier..

I was fully aware of my post which was in part in jest because actually based on his record he really shouldn’t be anywhere near any position at the club. I will state again we are involved in professional sport and he was given longer than he would have been allowed and still failed resulting in our relegation. If we had not been taken over how many people would lose their jobs because of this. He was not alone in our failure but certainly played a big part, so sorry I have little sympathy.

This is your blinkered opinion, a few moreappear to agree but the vast majority seem to be able to see all point's of view and realise things were not perfect but can move on and look forward and not make one person a scapegoat. In professional sport there is a team that is relegated every year and this year it was our turn. Hopefully we may move forward as the key ingredient may be available MONEY.

So you need to talk to Messrs Ellis and Powell.
They are the ones thinking of retaining Applegarth.

Jesus Christ is that you Mark?

All year you’ve been an advocate for the worst Super League coach in history. Quite frankly if any of us did as poorly in our jobs as him would we expect to be kept on in “ a new role”.

Also Applegarth’s “style of rugby” if he has one took watching paint dry to a whole new level. I don’t want to watch that again thank you very much.

The mouthwatering prospect of our team playing open attractive rugby as Cas did in the Powell years is almost too much to hope for after this season’s stuttering calamities

I have answered what I believe the statement represents and the reason why it was made, we shall see shortly who is correct.
