You may think he is but I'm willing to give a fit Howarth a chance to prove himself.

Well for my money Howarth gave his all the first time we had him, as a young kid playing with commitment. He's with us and in our hour of need he may well prove his worth.

And I admire you for that. But even a fully fit Stuart Howarth isn't good enough for Super League.

Looks like I'm going to have to bow to your superior player knowledge. :FRUSRATED:
And maybe take this debate back up when the season starts.

Based on performances up until the MPG game he could have potentially been in front of Moore.

I would have preferred a deal just until the end of the season, but we had to do what we had to do. Sio/Moore are not going to be fit all season, so as a potential 3rd choice hooker and loose forward cover, we have had a lot worse.

Hooks are not the must they used to be. From the point of view of the scrum almost any player from other positions can take up the role and quite often do. At the play the ball a well organised hooker should be able to spot weaknesses and take advantage of it.
Time will only tell if Howarth can perform the role to B S liking.

WAKEFIELD TRINITY - The PRIDE of Sporting Wakefield

THE DEFINITION OF INSANITY IS DOING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND EXPECTING DIFFERENT RESULTS

I think we also need to cover goalkicking options - Hall was probably our main kicker at the start of the year but was erratic after a good start (like the rest of his form) and the other options are Arundel, Miller and Finn. Not sure any of these are considered to be A+ goalkickers though. Its a bit of a weakness

Liking the recent signings though.

I think you'll find that Finn broke the world record whilst at Fev for most consecutive conversions - not bad for a player who you don't rate as a kicker
