Suspect RH will be in sunnier climes next season and it's a tragedy we've been unable to keep him. Our current halves have both been appalling since returning from injury ... especially the captain. RH shows more commitment and aptitude than both put together. I fear the club have got this one wrong.

It could be Rocky has over priced himself and is asking more than MC is willing to pay.
Wakefields roller coaster ride continues.

I like him but let's not canonised him yet.
This weekend he looked dangerous with ball but didn't actually get through.
He attempted only one tackle for the whole game and missed it.

If we're talking positives, Hull FC beating London is a good starting point :D

I get what your trying to say, but it does not automatically mean he's over priced himself if Carter is not willing to pay.

If Hampshire is off to "sunnier climes" then he is clearly over priced for many more damp clubs than just Wakey. It's an if though. Can't see Shudds being too worried about coughing up any asking price if a player they need/want is available.

There's a difference between what a player is worth and what a club is able to pay. For instance, during the Leeds recent glory years it was commonly acknowledged that the players could have got more elsewhere but wanted to stay at Leeds.

A player is worth whatever someone will pay for him. Wakey's value will be about how much they can afford to pay balanced against the impact of paying more on recruitment and pay elsewhere. If someone else will pay more, he is worth more, but not to Wakey, due to the effect on the spending elsewhere. MC might agree that he'd like to pay him more, but feels he can't because it will affect other recruits.

If he gets a better deal elsewhere, he clearly will be worth more than what Wakey could offer. If not, he isn't. I'd like to see him stay, particularly now Brough is coming to the end of his career, and he's the best of the alternatives in that position, but available funds are available funds.
WAKEFIELD TRINITY - MORE ANCIENT. MORE LOYAL.
