I'm stealing from the scousers. If they do actually win the league, which they won't, then I'm just going to deny it ever happened.

Feel for Moyes. He did a decent job at Everton and it's not like we could blame him for taking that job.

He hasn't been given a chance, inheriting a team no other manager could have won anything with. They only won the league because of RVPs form and everyone being scared of Fergie's United. Their players should be getting slaughtered by the fans, not Moyes. What did the United fans on here make of Rooney's performance against Everton for example? I've never seen a player make it so obvious he's going through the motions before.

I agree he had no option but to take the job. I think Man Utd were crazy to offer it to him, but once offered he simply couldn't turn it down.

I feel for him if he is getting sacked. If he is getting sacked in the next few days then MU have completely messed up his sacking. If they were getting rid they should have done it first thing this morning so he doesn't have to put up with this.

ATM I think the media are just descending on United and trying to get him sacked. They know he's out and sense blood so they are pushing for it. I cannot believe that Man Utd are leaking this.

He has been given a chance. If he'd managed top 4 then he'd have been safe. The fact he's been so spectacularly bad is no one's fault but his.

Possibly, but if the likes of RVP, Rooney, Valencia and co suddenly start next season like they played under Fergie it will look very suspect. I don't think the players were ever on board with his appointment and if that was the case top 4 would be near impossible.

I said at the time he was appointed that whoever went in there first was a sacrificial lamb, taking the inevitable decline on the chin and being sacked within 18 months. Next will no doubt come a bigger name, who probably would have been too savy to take the poisoned chalice from Fergie. The next manager will be given the time and the expectations have been adjusted by Moyes taking the fall. Top 4 would be grand and enable them to build.

What happens to Fellaini now? Taken on by Moyes on a big contract for a big fee, but never a player that would culturally fit United. Despite that he's probably in the top 20 Premiership players in terms of his impact if using his form at Everton as the yardstick.

Why would the players be impressed at the thought of David Moyes coming in and managing them? There's probably only a handful of kids in the United squad who haven't blown him out of the water in terms of achievement.

I think this is nonsense. I think if Guardiola had taken on the job he'd have made massive changes and probably been in the top 4. Klopp too would have completely changed the playing style and would have been building a new side.

Mourinho could have been used as a sacrificial lamb, if that's what United wanted. He'd have still made the top 4 and there would have been the added bonus of Chelsea imploding.

It's easier for the incoming manager than it would have been last season, but Man United are in a lot worse position now than they were last year. The incoming manager who Man United should have been appointing would have coped with the burden of taking over from SAF.

I've said all along that Tottenham or Newcastle was the job for Moyes. A smaller jump with less pressure and more time.

What happens to Fellaini now? Taken on by Moyes on a big contract for a big fee, but never a player that would culturally fit United. Despite that he's probably in the top 20 Premiership players in terms of his impact if using his form at Everton as the yardstick.

First choice. He stays at Man United and proves himself under the new boss. If he leaves Man United he's unlikely to get another crack at it. Put this season down to struggling to fit into a new club and the disaster that is Moyes.

Second choice. He impresses at the World Cup and some stupid club gives United their money back,

Third choice. Back to Everton at a big discount. That fee is not disclosed.

He's gone. Sack the players instead as they're not fit to wear the shirt.
