Probably about right. 2010 to 2013 was the real golden period following the Maguire effect. After that it was probably a steady decline for a while - the 2016/2018 squads were not particularly high quality despite the title wins.

If anything I'd say the 2022 squad is possibly stronger depth wise - outside of that I'm not sure squads from 2014 to 2021 are stronger. All subjective of course.

I dont think our pack is as strong tbh and if we are talking about a squad then i think we have lost some significant juniors who we havent been able to replace 'yet'

I think it's decent enough. There's proven quality (French, Faz, Cooper), plenty of potential breakout stars and enough cover of key positions to give us options.

I'd prefer, more big name signings but that's not just not IL's style.

My hopes for the squad performance are - 1, KPP smashes it at 2nd row. It's one of the real weak areas and we could do with a big lad out on the fringes. 2, manage to get someone off the cap and can give ourselves a mid season signing/boost.
