Halsall isn’t currently SL standard we need another centre on top of Wardle.


Not sure that is the answer though, if we sign Wardle we have two centres in him and Thornley (assuming he can play more than a couple of games in a row), Halsall would then be a backup along with KPP for next season.

Not sure how someone like Halsall can get to be a SL level player if he doesn't play - we need to give players like him a chance over a good run of games. If we always followed that process then most young players would end up being discarded (such as Harry Smith who many last season wanted shut of as he wasn't good enough).
