How high is your horse?

Head over to your site and see what has been written about Terry Newton then come back and tell me how great and upstanding your fans are. Take your time.

Spectacularly missing the point. I can’t legislate for fans can I but this is a display tweeted by the official club account and displayed in an official fan venue therefore authorised by the club.

Huge difference.

No he isn’t missing any point. You’ve come on here purely to try and make something out of nothing. I could understand Saints fans if we had won the game because of the flower incident, but we didn’t. You could argue the fact and say that this shows thuggery isn’t the way to go if you want to be victorious. There are numerous ways to look at this and you chose your way.

I didn’t come on here solely to make a point. If I had I would’ve started a thread on it!

Someone else did and asked for peoples thoughts so I gave mine.

There's so many people these days that are bloody snowflakes and are offended by their own shadow

This part of the poster is in poor taste, we’re not talking about a fan site or similar, it’s an official Wigan poster commissioned by the club, on display on club premises, would they have the still of the punch framed in the boardroom? I doubt it.

There are many acts of violence on a rugby field over the years, that Wigan players have perpetrated and been on the receiving end of, you celebrate overcoming these acts, not inflicting them. Farrell with his nose tapped up, Edwards at Wembley with a smashed cheekbone etc.

The 150 years theme has on the whole been handled well and reflects well on the history of the club, and I get that there are images and things were not proud of, but to reduce that image to cartoon strip art with thwack written on it cheapens the club, come on Wigan were better than

And yes redvee is a cesspit and comments on there about newton etc are vile, but saints haven’t turned them into a poster and hung them in the bar

It still is part of our history rather in bad taste but still part of it.

I apologise for my outburst, sorry.

its in bad taste and imo should be changed, if only to avoid any adverse publicity but there are some hilarious comments from holier than thou Saints fans and its great

One of the most famous images in our history.

Bad taste? Possibly.

BTW - LH was regularly knocked out because he couldn't tackle. Who is to say it was due to one punch?
