Wasn't that Saints lowest attendance of the season, despite a decent following from HKR?
I don't mind away games on a Saturday and Sunday to the likes of Hull, HKR, Cas, Wakey etc but Thursday and Friday nights there are a pain in the arris.
Yeah it was. First one under 10k all season. I wouldn't say it was a decent following from HKR though, I expected a lot more especially considering they didn't have to navigate the M62 on a Friday night.

O.K. I was expecting around 12K for that considering it was a Sunday game. Maybe some of the "kids" also had games, my grandson plays some of his matches for Orrell St. James on Sundays.

I don't mind the odd Sunday games as a change. I took my youngest lad (9) to the HKR game a couple of weeks ago. It was only his second ever game yet my eldest lad (who is 11) comes to every game with me.
I have to say though that I much prefer Friday nights, the whole weekend still ahead of you after the game, no work in the morning etc. The issue with Sunday afternoon games as a family is that you can't really do anything decent before the game nor after i.e going out for the day. My Saturdays during the football season are spent at both their football games so Sunday is the only full day to enjoy as a family.
Friday nights really worked for me when my kids were younger (and still do now they are older )
Home from work, tea and off to the rugby with my daughter (no worries about getting up for school the following day) and then as you say, the full weekend to do whatever you want. Even the away games (apart from getting to Hull) i can finish work at 5 - 5.30 and still make it to the games If i fancied an away game on the Sunday, we could fit them in as neither daughter particularly had any regular activity at weekend other than me dropping them off at friends

I'd prefer Sunday afternoon as our "default" for home games. Probably not too great for corporate sales but Sunday afternoon may as you say entice more "family" ticket sales if we can expand the fan village concept.
Absolutely agree. Get folk spending their £ in the fan village rather than the DW bars every time a fixture gets shifted to make room for the football.

It's a pity the fanzone is not 3-4 larger as its starting to get cramped as more and more supporters find out about it. Hopefully outdoors will be expanded (for the larger fixtures), something similar to the marquees they have outside of Salford's ground.

No issue with a Sunday afternoon game in the middle of summer - you could argue that this should be a more regular thing. Get some barbeques going in the fan village.
Not for me sadly working and no chance of a swap so dead game for me.
