Although this has emerged at the same time as administrators seek a buyer for Wigan Athletic and the DW Stadium, it is understood Danson's interests are solely with his hometown rugby league club.

Will be a relief to most on here. Nothing against them but would rather we remained separate as I assume they would too.

We need to be separate definitely, but we need to work together in the same breath.

Hopefully Danson can get some form of legal stake in the stadium so we are able to profit from it where we can as currently I believe we don't make a penny from matchdays in terms of beer sales, hospitality etc.

Good news.

Pleased to have IFL at the helm for the foreseeable future he is doing in the main a fantastic job of being a custodian of the club.

Agreed. Plus the fact remains that Danson has a 25% share of Wigan RL which gives us additional financial protection.
