Me personally i love reading through it. Its like the village of the damned over there. Its like going back to an old flame for a one night stand. You know you shouldn't but you can't help yourself. To be honest i am staggered they can type so much garbage with all those fingers. The next time we play them away and we are allowed back in i will go in a pair of sandals to show them what its like to have 5 toes on a foot.

I’m staggered anyone believes there’s much difference in either board.

Both have some really good posters, people who know a lot about rugby and some who know little, some idiots, some trolls, some wind up merchants, and lot of bias.

I’ve seen Saints fans called cretins, inbreds and retards on here. You for example making comments about fingers and toes. Then I see people complain about the vile abuse dished out on redvee. I see redvee references on here all the time then I see Saints fans being accused of being obsessed with Wigan. Similarly on redvee you see references to “scum” and inbreds when discussing Wigan.

If truth be told; both boards are as bad as each other at times and whether folk like to admit it or not, the two groups of fans on these forums are more similar than they think.

I’m with you on that one though I think this site is far better than the other Wigan one which is why I only go on here.

It’s a shame your more reasoned posters can’t come back to RLFANS and leave the idiots to fester.

I think there’s a world of difference tbh between here and RedVee. Maybe not so much between the independent Wigan board and RedVee but you wouldn’t get away with some of the abuse that just seems common place over there if you did it on here. There isn’t as much animosity on here towards St Helens as a club for starters. I generally find people respect Saints as a team and club and whilst there is always banter and always a healthy dislike of all things St Helens, you don’t get anywhere near as much of the ‘scum, thugs, inbreds’ talk towards St Helens as you do the other way round. I’ve seen a couple of comments on there recently that I’ve never seen the like of on here or if I have they’ve been very quickly removed by mods.

I’ll call things as I see them, I’m not afraid to praise other clubs when I see fit and if I think a team is better than ours I’ll say it, so I don’t think I’m looking at things through overly biased eyes. The two boards are very different IMO.

I'm all for rivalries & truly think that they are the biggest strengths of the game. People know Wigan Vs Saints etc and will watch.

That being said, it's bad that fans (on both sides) can't see see both clubs are in the same boat. Look at the young player of the year award as a perfect example. I've seen loads of derision from smaller clubs that all 6 nominees are from the four big clubs. Instead of saying well that's the benefit of investing in youth, fans on both sides have ripped in and said certain players aren't as good as their equivalent teams counterparts.

Some similarities in a couple of areas, but the level of nastiness is on another level.
It's a very myopic in its view point (as NK says much like our other board), and I muc prefer to, what IMO is a much healthier stance, invite either opinions/views from other clubs.
Now there is a fine line, but the contributions we get from a few wire fans, Leeds fans, and the odd contribution from hull/hudds/wakey and occasionally Leythers is most welcome, I wish there was more in fact
