How long will he last in Australia?

Ill give him about 6 games then he will be found out and dropped and come crawling back to Wigan for us to take him back. I hope we dont do it though, lets not get in to this re-signing players lark. If they really wanted to play for Wigan they would not cut short their stay. When they come back they just go through the motions like Burgess.

I watched the Salford game again and Williams was exposed for being the show pony that he is. A good half back would of taken over and got the team moving when Tommy went off but Williams just seemed to vanish out of the game.

and Bateman's not big enough, he'll never make it.

Bateman is a rare talent. He may not be big but he is deceptively strong and has a Rolls Royce engine which makes up for his lack of size.

Williams wont be able to hide around and have one good game every now and then and he will need to do a lot more than just flying up in support from a break from Gildart with a clear run to the line.

Hard to say how he’ll do. Josh Hodgson looked like a strange signing at the time and he’s now rated as one of the NRLs stand out 9s etc.
Some questioned Bateman, and last week he got the Dally M SR of the year.
Almost impossible to say.

I wish him all the best. You only live once, RL is a tough sport and a short career. Fulfil all your dreams while you can.

And if he wants to come back, if it benefits our club and team, it wouldn’t make good business to turn the cold shoulder to him. Be open.

Williams will succeed in Australia, he’s criminally underrated over here and he’ll flourish behind a pack that can actually make metres and win the battle, he’s two steps ahead of everyone at Wigan and he’s been very good this year

Who is he going to dislodge in the Canberra team? I think he’s going to be playing a lot of reserve grade rugby

It appears that Sezer may make way for Williams. Will he make it? Who knows? The earlier poster re Hodgson is valid in that some take their chances while others don’t make it. My opinion is that if Sezer stays Williams may struggle to hold down a spot but I don’t care much either way. My lasting memories of him are ones of frustration rather than satisfaction.
