Just a mention for we older fans, that I was chatting to former Wigan coach Graham Starkey last night in a local hostelry in Rochdale centre. Graham was Wigans coach from 1973 - 1974. I missed rather a lot of Wigans matches in that period, being based in Germany in the army.

Graham is in 'fine fettle' and will be in his very early 80's now.

He took over the coaching role from Eric Ashton.
