Great news.

Absolutely great player and competitor on and off the field.

I would be shocked to see him here for more than 2 years but I look forward to watching him for those 2 years.

Unless TL is retiring for me the halves are now no longer a priority. Prop, Centre and Hooker now top of the list.

I fail to see any need to sign a centre. Gildart and Hankinson are doing a very good job and we have Bibby coming in. We also have Hardaker who can push up with Escare covering FB in emergency situations. Props x 2 and a hooker would be my priority.

I'm sure that Escare will not be at Wigan in 2020, he's hardly featured at all this season despite regularly being named in the 19. As rumoured he will be off, expect another announcement shortly, which will free up some more cap space.

I think it’s time for Escare to move on to be honest. If we’re bringing in Bevan French as is widely rumoured then its another upgrade in the squad.

Seen his highlights on YouTube... Wow! Why the hell is he not playing in the NRL yet an aeging Ryan Hall can?

If we pulled it off him alongside Hastings along with Burgess, Hardaker, Gildart is some strike team for next year.

Would definitely put bums on seats in my opinion.

I agree. Not sure why he fell out of favour but a change could be just what he needs to reboot his career. 14 games at stand off for his feeder club this season, 13 tries, 12 assists and 50 line breaks. Nothing to lose if you ask me! Get him in!!

Size matters in the NRL. French is lightning but a bit too lightweight. Hall may be slow but he's a tank - made 222m last week including 91m post contact. He may be a bit too slow now to really make it, but that's gold in the NRL.

Not so sure. French is a similar size to the likes of

Cooper Cronk
Anthony Milford
Ben Barba
Matt Bowen
JT
Darren Lockyer

Just to name a few. They seemed to do ok.
