Or alternatively, you might just get a private reprimand and a warning, depending on your boss, the company, your role in it, and lots of other factors.
In any case, the last time a player - a well-known player too - brought genuine shame on the club, he was removed pretty quickly. Perhaps some people are jumping the gun by assuming the club will do nothing.
If you are talking about Joel Tomkins, the fact that he was highly paid and underperforming week on week may have also had something to do with it.
I do agree with some of the other comments on here about the "culture", which on the outside looking in seems to tolerate thuggish behaviour and which, as owner, IL has overall responsibility for. You never see SOL in court, street fighting, drunk behind the wheel of a car or with white powder up his nose, so why do others within the club think its acceptable.
Spin it how you want - and I don't deny his poor form - I doubt he'd have left mid-season and mid-contract it it hadn't been for that video incident.
If ultimately, what you're saying is that this is yet another reason why IL needs to sell up, I'd just advise that you be careful what you wish for.
It was an ideal scenario for the club in a way, as they were clearly looking to cut the playing budget and they took their chance with Joel Tomkins. They brought in Greenwood as a replacement for him and then somehow managed to get him to replace Bateman as well and it was job done. Every time I hear them say he’s Batemans replacement, I want to know who replaced JT? Or Nuausala? Or McIlorum?

I'm not claiming the recruitment has been great. Everyone knows it hasn't.
What is going on with IL? Has he lost all his money or juat lost his love for the club, always seemed a decent guy to me, but he clearly isn't investing like he has in the past.
I'm seeing the same cost cutting pressures where I work and I am sure you all are. We are in a rut, possibly an unofficial recession and in some cases the staff who remain are generally replacing experienced seasoned staff who have cashed in and left on redundancy. I've been finding in the last few months a lot of small companies are not hiring qualified accountants and have then been frauded out of thousands all because they think they can hire cheap staff who might know how to run things but in reality are out of their depth. It's not IL fault the country & economy are going to pot but he doesn't need to mis-inform us on the clubs intentions, he just needs to be consistent and to be straight with us.

That is absolutely my thoughts on the issue. I have no problems with him cutting his cloth and cutting the budget if he can’t be bothered propping the club up but be open and honest about it and let people know where they stand. Do not say Greenwood replaced Bateman if you’re not going to say we didn’t replace Joel, don’t claim to be up to the maximum on the cap when that just cannot be the case, do not say people have signed contracts when they haven’t, do not tell fans their best player will be coming back in 2-3 years when he hasn’t agreed that and so on.
I simply want him to start telling the truth. If the playing budget is now cut right back and he tells us, then we don’t have people calling for us to sign Widdop and then getting annoyed when Sammut walks through the door. If we cannot compete financially with the likes of Wire, Catalan’s, Saints and Leeds then fine but tell us that, so when they sign a player in a position we could do with, we just know it wasn’t a realistic option.

Leeds spending power isn't doing them much good. I agree IL needs to be honest with you folk, at least AP at FC has stated, publically we wont sign a marquee player, IL seems to be spinning an ever unravelling yarn.

Joe bullock, Jack wells, Liam paisley, Josh ganson, Liam Byrne, callum field, Ollie partington etc (sure rogues will fill in the etc's) and improved contracts to the Davies's and marshalls and others who may be on salary increment steps.
Whilst that probably doesn't cover all of the money etc it will go a long way and coincidentally we were talking about this Sunday.
For the first time in a number of years I'm not so thrilled with the squad numbers 23/24 upwards (not literally those numbers but I think you'll know what I mean?). We were talking was it worth getting rid of certain players (ganson/worthington/field for example) to bring in 1 experienced front rower. I think that's the only real weak point of our squad (never been a big clubb fan and our weakness in this position is exposing his weaknesses alarmingly for me, and given tautais contribution or lack of it as well) and I'd rather have 6 front line props.
But the talk then was giving youth it's chance and keeping them and paying them whilst they develop is a double edged sword. For the first time in a while there's a question mark around doing it this way, maybe because of the lack of quality at 20/21 years of age. But you only have to look at saints who have persevered with Thompson, Knowles, Lee's etc to see what happens when it pays off.
A rough patch sometimes needs a short term answer, but this could also be called knee jerk. It's a fine line.
