We were talking about Clubb at the game and commented he looks either injured or just ready to call it a day. I’ve never seen a player look as uncomfortable trying to just get around the field.
I’m exactly the same as well in that he’s been a real favourite. I hope he’s got a resurgence in him.
He looks slower than a 35 year old Terry O’Connor playing for Widnes.
Carrying about 500 kg of strapping on his knees can’t be helping though.
I’m not the type to scape goat players however I think he’s been the biggest passenger in the entire squad this season.
It’s as you say. He just looks incapable of moving around the park.
Our fault for being very light in the propping department though. He should not be in the match day squad at all.
What's the rumpus, Tom?

I can't confirm Bennett's exact words but I believe they were along the lines of "Strewth Ian, I wouldn't touch him with yours. He's a flammin' Gala".

Well I think that was a big step forward when compared to recent weeks. We looked far better with Leuluai at 9. Williams had a much better game and Sammut was good. Hardaker was excellent all game. We were beaten by a better side but there was improvement and we have a lot more of it in us. We move on.
Our front row is championship standard, Flower is the best of a bad bunch (our current leading try scorer, how bad iis that), Clubb is ineffective every game and Tautai needs cant stay on the field but when he does he’s giving daft penalties and knock-one away for fun.

Can’t disagree with any of that. Especially the comments on Tommy and Zak.
Promising signs and need to carry momentum

Leuluai at hooker and Hardaker were the two main positives. I thought Sammut was pretty anonymous though, bar a few decent kicks.

Flower has been superb this season in all facets of his game. Missed him tonight.
