All players make mistakes.

He played big minutes, ran very well and put himself all over the park in defence.

If the rest of them played with his attitude we would not be in the situation we are in now.

You’re right, we do. But after that I wouldn’t be too confident it’s your year. Very close to bottling it against a very poor side.

I for one don’t think it is our year, actually! To clarify the Isa incident, maybe it’s the same as the other apparent high tackles, at full speed he came in over the top somewhat unnecessarily. Of course, slowed down, it wasn’t that bad. I’ve already admitted Westwood is a prize t!t but we all know that.

Wire*, sorry. Really disagree re effort, I think all players showed a lot of effort tonight. Just a distinct lack of skill, poor defensive reads etc.

It didn’t look bad full speed, slow speed, half speed, any speed. Shocker of a decision by Thaler. The only unnecessary action was Patton running in and Westwood headbutting the smallest player on the field. Always gutted to lose, but better than I expected if I’m honest.

Thought sammuts kicking was v good tonight too. Very different shape to them than I’ve seen us play for a while.

Ok ish with ball in hand especially in the 2nd half.

Clubb looks shot to me though. Offered zero and that’s sad to see. A player I’ve always enjoyed watching.

Quote from Graham Lowe - "I'm 49, I've had a brain haemorrhage and a tripple bypass and I could still go out and play a reasonable game of rugby union ......... but I wouldn't last 30 seconds in rugby league!"

Re: Penalties and offloads : Fri Mar 15, 2019 10:16 pm
Thought that was a much better performance from us tonight. We looked like we had more energy and desire than the previous weeks. Still some poor defence and mistakes to sort out but if a few poor refereeing decisions hadn't gone against us we could have sneaked the win. Don't forget wire are probably one of the two best teams in the comp at the moment. I'm much happier this week than last. We need to improve next week but I'm confident we can get a result at Salford if we cut down the penalties.

Appreciate you seem a reasonable poster for a wife fan.

You are totally wrong re the Isa yellow card though

Disgusting decision by Thaler

Annoyed he never checked the charnley try (escare knock on) for offside.

Him and philbin (I think) looked 10 yards offside

We were talking about Clubb at the game and commented he looks either injured or just ready to call it a day. I’ve never seen a player look as uncomfortable trying to just get around the field.

I’m exactly the same as well in that he’s been a real favourite. I hope he’s got a resurgence in him.
