Not really sure about Hankinson as I haven't seen much of him. Pretty sure that Sammut will play some part of the game.
A tough game on Friday as Hull have got to get a win at some point but hopefully its after they play us.

Hankinson is very handy and is the match Sunday afternoon.

He is handy I agree but I just don’t see who he displaces in Gildart/Sarginson (despite a poor showing from Gildart v Sydney) and he is nowhere near big enough to be a realistic back row option. It is a shame as he does have good potential IMO.

And yes Hull is Sunday at 3pm

I’m no fan of TT or Isa and I would much rather see the youngsters given a chance in their place but equally we can’t have a pack full of 18-22yr olds vs a very experienced Hull pack. Tough call IMO.

I think we probably will see Sammut against Hull, despite my doubts about his ability I think we could have done with an off the cuff type player against Sydney, whether it would have worked or not we’ll never know.

I like Hankinson but as I’ve posted previously; I just don’t see who he displaces in Gildart/Sarginson and he’s not big enough to be a back rower.

Just a couple of thoughts. Assuming that Sammut comes in then one of TL or Powell to the bench we will need to think about the remaining interchanges. Assuming that we need a replacement for Faz we could have a lightweight bench. Second thought, how much smaller is Hankinson than Isa? Third point, is it better to have a more experienced player play "on the wrong side" or a less experienced player play on their best side? As for giving a run to an inexperienced player like Kibula, I would prefer to see him as a fourth forward on a bench to lessen the demands on him.

I think Sammut is a must even if it's only to see what he brings. As you say the kicking game is one area that has shown no signs of improvement and, if you factor in the loss of Tomkins, is probably worse.

Be interesting to see how Lam works the integration of Sammut, who misses out etc. Nevertheless it'll be interesting to see the differences in our style with him as a 7. We need playmakers who know how to work Hardaker into the game.

I see quite a few calls for more aggression. Remember the Skerrett thread in which everybody laughed at me. Ive seen for some time that our forwards are just not nasty enough.

I thought Flower was superb last night in his first stint. If he had somebody like a Walmsley or Fifita next to him, they would compliment each other perfectly.
