I believe that French has turned down an offer that would have made him a marquee signing so I assume that means Hastings is also off.
Major changes next year.
I'd try to get TL to carry on but SOL despite his CC unfortunately can't do enough games so for me a move to coaching for him

I think French will go home and good luck to him. It's nothing to do with the size of his contract.

I think French will go, which is a huge shame but he has a lot more to give in the NRL so I can’t say I blame him. He’s been superb during his time here, he’s won us games on his own. Good luck to the lad, certainly no hard feelings from me.

Hastings I think will go. I’ve never really felt his commitment and I don’t think he’s ever been truly happy to come to Wigan.

Yes I heard the same
We’ve offered him a great deal but the guy wants to go home where he has several offers
Agree with you. Good luck to the guy

He’s doing things the right way so fair play to him. There’s been no sulking, no crying off games etc. He’s just been fantastic and a joy to watch and hopefully he can’t help us get some silverware before he goes.

Agreed he has been/is a joy to watch, will be a shame to see him go but fair play to him.

It’s not all one way though yes he has been great for us but we have given him the shop window in which to show of his talents so I’d expect him to be nothing less than fully committed to us for the rest of his time with us.

Looks likely we have recruited Field to replace him.

I’m nervous about potentially losing both him and Hastings at the same time. We lose a lot of “x factor” if both go.

I see a lot of comments about Hastings level of commitment to Wigan, which I don’t really get. For me he has been superb on the field he is playing a slightly different role to the one he played at Salford but it is in my opinion also playing a level above what he was doing last year.

A section of the fans haven’t warmed to him and maybe there are some examples where he hasn’t helped himself in that regard but his performances are where it counts for me and in that department he was been outstanding.

Some massive shoes to fill.

If Hastings does go I seriously hope we are looking at someone like Marshall who looks to be after a 2 year deal.

He isn’t the line breaking player he once was but his ability to control a game and create a try are still up there with the best of them.
Unofficially the most boring poster on Cherry and White.

We’ve certainly been good for him. It’s amazing to think he was playing feeder club rugby before coming here because he’s a freak of a talent. I know the NRL has a lot of talent and they do like these big, robotic outside backs but the guy is miles better than a decent percentage of wingers I see in the NRL (the position you’d feel he’s most likely to play back in the NRL) and I think this stint here will act as a defining moment in his career.

As for Hastings, if he goes as well you’re right, we’ll be losing pretty much all our X factor in one go. I’m sure Field has plenty of pace and hopefully he’ll replace one bit we’re likely to need another signing. I hope Tommy goes round again but in a squad player role and I’m happy for Smith to step up in to a regular starting birth but we’ll either need a new six or a new fullback dependant on where Field plays. Some people may say Hardaker can go back to full back but his loss of pace has put that position beyond him IMO and he’s starting to find his feet at centre now.

Will you guys be giving Josh Woods a chance next year, or sending him to us on loan again ? (if there is any championship rugby)

It was a weird one with Hastings. People got really annoyed about the rumours during pre season that he wasn't going to come, then when they proved to be false, they held it against him anyway. Bizarre.
