I really like Austin. He’s tall for a half back but fast, skilful and a good kicker. I’d love to see him at Wigan, I really enjoy watching him play.

There was talk of Austin turning down a deal of 800K AUD at the raiders, surely even with the marquee rule a superleague team wouldn’t pay that?

Austin looks like a throw back to the 80s stand off more a threat when running. he does have a good long kicking game on him.

Never heard of him (I don't follow the NRL), but the days of Trent Barrett are over.

If he's any good he'll stay in Aus. Of the NRL quality players we only get the dog botherers, the cocaine fiends and the alcoholics these days. Or we get two players who've been shipped out for a year to dodge the Salary Cap.

Roberts at Wire was seen as a fairly decent NRL halfback, not too disimilar to the 2 mentioned and he’s ended up at Wire.

Mamo would be a strange signing given we’ve signed Hardaker and have Escare already.

As for Edwards, I wouldn’t be keen to have him as coach for 2019 so to wait 12 months to get him would seem like lunacy to me. Lenagan has said this week that he agrees with Wane in that Winder isn’t quite ready so it would take some backflip on that for them to be on the money.

I think we’ll head to Australia and look at guys in assistant coaches spots and try and pick the best one to take us forward.

Mamo does look the part, but he does seem a wee bit fragile, seemingly forever coming back from a lengthy injury.

What about Tony Smith? He's out of work and might fancy a new coaching job.

Putting Hardaker at centre would be pointless, his winger would never see the ball.

At least he'd lose his virginity.
