What are peoples thoughts of bringing in an overseas hooker?

I.Luke, Segeyaro, R.Farah all off contract this year and feel they're falling into the 'not quite good enough for NRL but would do well in SL' category.

Lam didn't rate him from day one due to he didn't know where to play him and thought he was grossly overpaid at £100k.

I have always thought Escare has done a good job for us when required. Lam freezing him out is going to make it more difficult for us to get rid imo. I just hope someone offers him a long term contract elsewhere and he takes it but he’s never in a million years going to get 6 figures a year again.

Whoever did the Diane Abbott tribute act coming up with those figures for Escare needs to have a word with themselves. How can you justify paying a squad player that kind of money?

Escare, Tautai (renewal), Gildart (renewal), Budgie (first contract on returning from NRL) were all very poorly managed. The renewals/resignings were all done hastily and it was one of the reasons Shaun Wane was seriously unhappy! Told there was no room for strengthening the squad but then renewals signed that took up free cap space that could of been used elsewhere.

That makes an awful lot of sense

Shouldn't be a priority IMO, even if Leuluai calls it a day we still have Powell and Shorrocks with Borough coming through. I'd be prioritising another prop.

Lam really rates Brad O'Neill, it'll be interesting if he sees him as #9 or #13.
