Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

Most idiotic post ever goes to Grimmy..... The way to restart should be an arm wrestle between a designated player from each side.
If Hardaker is still in the squad he plays at fullback - no question about that for me. Not heard anything about Hardaker other than him being very happy at Wigan.
The French signing is a strange one unless Lam sees him as a #6. He definitely isn't coming over here not to start every week.
I think the question was who is reserve fullback if there's no Sarginson or Escare. I reckon Burgess would be OK there, think he's played there before?

Not that I'm aware of. I'd rather have a specialist full back in reserve.
I think we have to be careful with recruitment in the forwards. With all of the great prospects we have (as evidenced tonight) any recruits that play in their place need to be top quality.
Not sure bringing in someone like Chris Green is the best way to go if he's going to take the place of a Havard or Partington. I'd have preferred to have brought in a better quality senior prop to replace Clubb.
I think Hankinson has very similar strike attributes and style to Hardaker so I would be comfortable with his as back up 1.
I am also keeping hearing French is coming so assuming Hardaker stays then he could move there as he must be coming as a 6 in that scinario.
I’m also still hearing Hardaker back to West Yorkshire rumours, not overly reliable though, so maybe French to 1.
Time will tell I guess.
I expect though Hardaker 1. French 6.
Hankinson our Panapa.
I actually wonder if Hankinson's versatility is also his main issue. If we have an injured player at either centre, SR, wing, and perhaps one day FB, Hankinson is the first moved to cover the vacant spot. Whereas I think his game would develop if he was allowed a permanent centre spot. I feel his best run was/is at centre, regular game time will only see him improve. On the wing last night he was exposed for positioning and pace with Brough's kicking game and Rocky's pace, I feel it's almost unfair to critique Hankinson over this as wing isn't his position.
I hope for next season he's given the respect and opportunity to be or starting centre along with Gilly with Bibby coming in as cover, not as the starter.
Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid. Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal. Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.

I agree. Hankinson cannot be used as a utility player as he isn’t good enough, back up centre I’d give him a chance buts that’s it. If we are after a cheap utility back I’d go for Craig Hall myself. Can play wing, centre and fullback.

I’d give Havard a run in the second row, he reminds me of a young Joel Tomkins or a young Adrian Morley.

I was critical over the signing of Hankinson, but he's here now and I believe looks considerably better in his chosen position of a centre. With Sarge going, to be I'd like to see him given a good run to make the position his own. He's only 25, and additionally an excellent kicker. Given him the chance of a good run, it really does make a difference to how a player develops.
Perhaps Bibby has been signed as cover for the wing and centre. Makes sense, We've had shocking luck with Burgess, Manfredi and Davies with long term injuries and once again last night, Marshall showed areas of his games which are always going to be an issue, he literally seems to pull out of committing to a high ball.

He looked like Greenwood when stood with the other players he has a big frame, we do not seem to have a really quick back row coming through Betts, Houghton, Gilmour, Wild, Tomkins all had the pace of back.
