...But it would be bloody incredible if it did.

With Williams leaving this would certainly be a step in the right direction.

Would just need a couple of bulldozing 6ft props and we would definitely be back challenging top three next season.

Having Hastings and Jimmy in the halves would give us the best 6 and 7 in the league. However, seems too good to be true sadly. Get them both on a marquee.

If it came down to an either/or between Hastings and Molloney, it’s Hastings every time for me.

Knows Super League, knows the UK, and younger.

With Leeds in the market for a half too, I think it’s unlikeky both players will end up at the same club.

I’d be happy with either one though, and given our issues elsewhere in the team I’d be comfortable with Sammut to partner either of them in 2020.

I'd try and sign Reynolds from Wests. Try and persuade Madge to let him come as hes getting no game time under him and is a player similar to Austin but better

Interestingly the list of players out of contract at the end season was released this week and neither Mitch Clarke or Jackson Hastings who are both out of contract and both heavily linked with is on the list. It would suggest they've already signed contracts away from Cas and Salford respectively. Led to believe Clarke is a done deal and cas want to make it immediate which may suggest why Gansen was released so suddenly. Would be over the moon if we got Hastings and it is looking increasingly likely

Josh Reynolds is better than Blake Austin??? I'll have a pint of what you have been drinking. As average a half back as ever played the game, not to mention his injury woes. If we sign Reynolds then its time to pack up

Doesn’t mean he wouldn’t be good in Super League. Blake Austin hasn’t been great the last few seasons in the NRL (since 2015 really). In fact, most Canberra fans prefer Sam Williams (who briefly played for Catalans and Wakefield.
