And let’s be fair Escare wasn’t that much of a step up from Lewis tierney,this signing,if it happens of French makes zero sense,there are positions that need to be looked at surely?

Rumours are that Sydney Roosters are signing Kyle Flanagan, this doesn't look too good for Lachlan Lam's future over in Sydney...

I like Bevan French and think he could do great things in Superleague, he is as elusive runner of the ball as you can get with explosive pace to boot. If we can pull it off I think he will surprise a few on here with how good he can be

I know that you are quite knowledgeable of the NRL therefore, do you think that Lachlan would be a good purchase for ourselves?

He wont come.

He is on the fringes of the roosters squad and probably sees himself as an NRL candidate once cronk retires

Genuinely don't know mate. Not seen him play a great deal. From what I've read Robinson thinks Lam is lightweight in defence, to the point where's he's looking to bring in another young developing 7.
For us I guess it depends on a number of factors, how much we could get him for, and what other options do we have. If we sign French I can genuinely see him coming in as a half, it's a long way for him to come to be a back up 1 and cover on the wings.
I personally think a 7 is an area I'd like to see improved, along with another prop.

I think that TL is better at 9 than 7 but cannot see Lam displacing Powell so I'd be surprised if we got a new however, I'm with you in that we do need improvement at 7 and 2 more props
