Lockers at prop is not a bad call, it worked well for Andy Farrell and may have a similar effect.

In theory... Worth bearing in mind that Farrel was about 29 when he left, SOL is 36 now... Time to move on, sadly.

Stevie Menzies was still performing well at a high level at 40. Age is a factor, but not the only factor. I believe Lockers is still one of, if not our best player.

Yeah that’s a fair point, but if it’s only for 12 months it might be a risk worth taking

And Paul Gallen is still performing at a fantastic level, plus doing big minutes, at the age of 37. But every player is different. Because Gallen does it, doesn't mean O'Loughlin should or ought to be able to. And clearly, he can't. Which is absolutely fair enough; he has had a fantastic career. And he should call it a day now.

No that's not the point. The point is age is a factor bit not the only factor. Look at the player not his age. The Steve Menzies is just an example that age isn't the only factor.
