...tentative rumour, contact made with Salford regards Junior Sau, potential deal involving an un-named hooker. Whether this indicates Gelling is now leaving, or Bateman will take an offer in NRL so Gells moves to 2nd row, I am unsure. However, talks regards his value to Salford and potential player exchange are on-going.

So the solid rumours so far are:
- Gelling to NZ Warriors
- Michael Monaghan to be a coach
- FPN is either staying or going but probably staying

When are squad numbers announced?

Usually mid-December (leaving less than two weeks for anyone buying shirts as Christmas gifts ), but last year they got them out early in mid November. I really wouldn't put any stock in any rumour involving Gelling leaving. The same poster has previously said he has been sacked, and that he has been sold to Widnes. The other two sound more realistic at least (Monaghan as assistant coach and FPN staying).

Gelling to New Zealand is realistic, ignore the one above who like to try and belittle others, the rumour has come from a guy that knows several players from several clubs and rarely gets it wrong, believe it or not i don't care, i'm happy hearing rumours from him on the few occasions the shares.

NRL website claiming Pettybourne is coming back to England. A deal with Wigan is ‘in the pipeline, but by no means finalised’.

Always thought he was pretty average. Although if we can swap him for FPN he’d be cheaper, younger and better. But still not great.

Perrybourne would be an awful signing especially when you consider who is available and who has been so far.

He was a total non event first time round, why we would want him back is beyond me.

Really really can’t see that happening.

Really can't see Pettybourne coming back to Super League, he is Championship standard at best, even then I doubt he would get in Leigh's 17. He gets stopped by the first tackler every single time. No comparison with FPN I'm afraid, who I would much rather have. Pettybourne really is an example of a useless Aussie stopping the progress of one of our own.

Sounds like lazy journalism, really can't see that happening. Not least because he seemed to hate it here, and correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't he being left out by Wane towards the end anyway?
