I know I mentioned it earlier but rumours are growing that Sam Burgess could be on the look out for a contract in 2021 depending on how his recovery goes in USA.

The rumour is that Souths will be looking to re-sign him on a reduced deal.

I hope we are monitoring that situation.

I’d speculate that with the lower intensity of SL he would be more likely to return to this competition than the NRL.

There are no rumours. He has retired and his insurance policy is about to pay out meaning it’s impossible to return even if he wanted to. Per the man himself - he is retired and looking forward to his future outside the game.

Steph, whilst they may not be accurate there are definstjeu rumours with a number of formal press reports now picking up on the story.

Not saying they are accurate, however there are defiantly rumours regarding this.

Any update on Escare moving on?

With Davies leaving it appears that we're cleaning the decks and freeing up some cash. Hopefully we'll see another addition before Feb.

Nothing since Wakefield said they wanted him for 2020. Hopefully Sammutt will be off too.

Could be wrong but I suspect we're freeing up space for the players we've got, rather than to being in new ones. Would be very suprised if we see any major additions between now and the start of the year.

Have you based that on anything?

With it being a live cap, you can't sign players with money that you don't have.

I reckon we're at or around the cap limit assuming Lockers signs up for another year (not saying he should but I think he will). We have a starter for all positions and some depth. Historically we don't tend to get any big names coming in from November onwards. Wigan fans (probably all fans) always seem to want and expect one more signing than what comes to fruition.
