No that's not the point. The point is age is a factor bit not the only factor. Look at the player not his age. The Steve Menzies is just an example that age isn't the only factor.
Hopefully that makes sense.
Seriously ... and I'm not trying to be argumentative here, but, what are you seeing in Lockers that makes you think he should be kept on?
Just because he had a dig against Warrington does not mean he can do that every week. He plainly can't. Look at yesterday ... he was shockingly bad, giving away God knows how many points.
Yes, we can agree that age isn't the only factor. But here's really no comparison between Lockers and Steve Menzies or Paul Gallen. The latter two are machines who've defied biology. Lockers clearly hasn't - he's been missing in action for several seasons now. Playing the odd game for half an hour is no use to us, and it's especially no use when he plays like he did yesterday. It's not just about his age, it's about the fact that his quality has diminished drastically.
He may well want to carry on and keep insisting that he can ... but surely that's just the guy being proud?
He needs to call it quits ... firstly because his wages now need to be spent elsewhere, and secondly because otherwise he's going to tarnish his legacy.
