Hill will takes Byrne’s spot.

Taylor Kerr impressed me. Took the ball into the line before passing similar to SOL in his day.

What strikes me is how good this academy graduates look physically.

Can’t wait for the season to get going now.

Thought Eseh went OK - definitely likes the offload. Thought Harvey Makin also went well - he might be someone who could fly under the radar and get himself in the mix (particularly in 2026 when Byrne leaves).

Chan didn't seem to last long - always seemed a strange signing that one.

It feels like Kerr will have a great chance of a debut in 2025 due to his versatility. He looked comfortable in the halves yesterday, has played at hooker in the reserves, is a natural 13 and they could probably throw him in the second row as well. It sounds like they're pretty excited by his long term prospects (which I think they will see as being a loose forward) but in the shorter term, he could turn himself in to that Joe Shorrocks type player we've not had since he left.

Quick question but who was it that beat wigan in the 90's to end their Challenge Cup dominance, I thought it was Sheffield Eagles was it not, why is the media or TV not all over this given that Wigan are so dominant again
